White Prosecco and Prosecco rosé are both Glera-led wines. Prosecco DOC Rosé includes 10–15% Pinot Nero vinified as red wine, which gives it its pink colour. That colour does not make it sweeter: compare the sweetness terms on the two bottles.
Choosing between a white bottle and a pink one can feel like a question of mood. For the wine itself, the more useful questions are what is in the blend, how sparkling it is and which sweetness style you enjoy.
White and rosé Prosecco DOC compared
This comparison concerns Prosecco DOC. White wines carrying the Conegliano Valdobbiadene or Asolo DOCG names have their own appellation rules.

Is rosé Prosecco sweeter than white?
It depends on the bottles. Adding the permitted red-wine component gives Prosecco rosé its colour; it does not, by itself, establish how sweet the finished wine will be.
Bella Principessa’s white Prosecco DOC and DOC Rosé are both Brut. Pink does not automatically mean sweeter than white. The shared category does not establish identical sugar content or taste; exact comparisons require the individual wines’ product information.

Which should you choose?
Start with the sweetness you prefer and the description of the particular wine. The colour cannot tell you the exact flavour, alcohol content or sugar per glass. Those need the producer’s information and, for a per-glass figure, the size of the pour.
