Yes, it sounds like a bad first date.
It’s the drinks trade’s name for a tasting, and nobody has ever said it with a straight face. The job itself is lovely: one small pour, one good conversation, and a customer who leaves with a bottle she didn’t know she wanted. Anely’s team pours sparkling wine and only sparkling wine. They don’t push. They pour, they listen, and they let the Prosecco do the talking.

Anely was born in Cuba, has Italian roots, and came to Florida from Italy in 2014. Since then she has built her own brand-ambassador agency across Florida, Texas and California. She speaks English, Spanish and Italian, which in a Miami wine aisle is roughly the same as speaking everyone’s language.
She doesn’t do it alone. Anely has built a team of women in her own image: different ages, different stories, the same easy way with people. They’re good company in an aisle, good news for a store, and very good at the moment a shopper announces, “I don’t usually like Prosecco.”
What a store owner wants from a tasting is simple: someone customers warm to, a table that makes the aisle look busier, and a shelf that looks a little emptier by closing time. That’s the job they do for Bella Principessa.
