Russian Christmas · РождествоSix drinks
for the first star.

On Christmas Eve, January 6, the table waits for the first star in the sky. Then come the zakuski, the blini, the toasts. Six drinks, a menu in three languages, and a cold bottle of Bella Principessa for each.

Which Prosecco for Russian Christmas?

A dry, fresh one: bubbles and caviar, bubbles and blini, bubbles and smoked fish. The label says Brut. Pour the Pink with the berry drinks.

Wait for the first star

On Christmas Eve the meal begins when the first star appears. Have the bottles in ice by then.

Bubbles with the zakuski

Caviar, smoked fish, pickles and blini all love a dry, cold Prosecco.

A bottle pours five

Two glasses a guest for the evening, and one bottle spare.

Toasts are long

Pour a third of a flute, so glasses can be raised again and again.

Mors for everyone

The same cranberry mors, without the Prosecco, for the children and the drivers.

С Рождеством! Buon Natale.

Russian Christmas questions.

When is Russian Christmas?

January 7. Christmas Eve, Sochelnik, is January 6, when the meal traditionally begins with the first star.

What goes with blini and caviar?

A dry, cold sparkling wine. Bella Principessa Gold is Brut: crisp enough for the salt, fruity enough for the blini.

What is mors?

A traditional Russian berry drink, usually cranberry or lingonberry, sweetened and served cold. Topped with Prosecco it becomes a fizz.

Is there an alcohol‑free option?

Mors on its own, in the same glasses. Please enjoy responsibly: 21+ only, and plan a safe way home.
