Why add Bella Principessa if we already carry a Prosecco?
The short answer
Prosecco became famous before any Prosecco brand did. Ask a guest what they're drinking and you'll hear "Prosecco." Ask which one, and you'll usually get a shrug. Cold, available, good enough. The category did the selling. No brand had to.

Prosecco became famous before any Prosecco brand did.
Ask a guest what they’re drinking and you’ll hear “Prosecco.” Ask which one, and you’ll usually get a shrug. Cold, available, good enough. The category did the selling. No brand had to.
That’s fine until you look at it from the shelf. If nobody asks for your Prosecco by name, nobody misses it when it’s gone, and the only thing left to compete on is price.
The gap in most Prosecco sets
Champagne owns ceremony: the promotion, the wedding, the big night. Prosecco brings people together on every other night. Dinners, birthdays, brunch, a Tuesday that needed help. Bella Principessa gives that a name: friendship. The toast happens once. Friendship carries the night.
A brand with a reason to exist behaves differently on a shelf or a wine list. Guests remember it, mention it, photograph it and come back for it.
What you’d actually be adding
- Two wines, one decision. Bella Principessa Prosecco DOC and Bella Principessa Prosecco DOC Rosé, both Brut, both 11% ABV. White and pink covered without a second brand.
- Brut, which is what people mean when they say “dry.” Extra Dry sounds like the driest Prosecco. It isn’t; Brut is drier. Brut is the easy recommendation. (Is Prosecco sweet or dry?)
- Certified Prosecco DOC from a fourth-generation family winery in the Veneto, made from Glera grapes. (What does DOC mean on Prosecco?)
- A bottle with no paper label. Ceramic-painted glass, butterflies and flowers. It’s the bottle people pick up first, and it still looks good after an hour in an ice bucket, which is more than most paper labels can say.
Do you need two Prosecco brands?
If your current Prosecco is the value pour, keep it. Bella Principessa isn’t trying to be the cheapest bottle in the cooler. It’s the one people choose for a dinner, a gift or a table they want to look good. Carry both, the way a good wine list carries a house Cabernet and a Napa Cabernet.
For you, that means a Prosecco your customers come back for by name, not one they’d swap without noticing.
