There is no single Prosecco that is finest for every drinker. For a serious recommendation, identify the exact wine, its style and any independently verifiable tasting result. DOCG or Cartizze provides origin information; an award needs its own context. Neither replaces your taste.

What should a Prosecco award tell you?

Start with the producer, complete wine name, sweetness style and vintage, if stated. Match those details to the award or review, including its date. A result for one wine is not evidence that every bottle from that producer received the same assessment.

Check how the wine was judged. Decanter World Wine Awards, for example, groups wines by factors including origin, style, vintage and price. Judges assess the wines without knowing the producer or brand, then agree on medals. Several wines can receive the same medal.
