Il Prosecco è uno spumante italiano ottenuto dal vitigno Glera coltivato nella regione Veneto d’Italia. Non è un rosato, ma uno spumante prodotto con metodo Charmat. Lo Champagne è invece un vino spumante originario della regione dello Champagne in Francia, prodotto con la tecnica Méthode Champenoise. Sebbene sia il Prosecco che lo Champagne siano vini spumanti, i loro metodi di produzione, i vitigni e le origini geografiche differiscono.
